Dollar Deals at ES + 2 New Products!

Gosh I have been slacking in the new product department! I have had a hard time getting back up after Christmas! Didn't realize slowing down for 2 weeks would set me back month! Things are finally starting to pick back up. I am going to have a ton of new kits coming out in the next several weeks. They are going to be super and I can't wait to show them off.

First off, I have 2 new template products up for you all. I have changed my color scheme for 2010 on my basics to match my blog/identity, lol, that is until I decide I am bored with it. The bright colors seem to do well for me.

All Spinky Dink Scraps items featured below are only $1.00 today.

First are the waves. These are so great and I have seen a ton of fun layouts made with them already.

Layout by Lynn: Using Basic Waves and A Little Girly by simply.scraps.

Layout by Dalis: Using Basic Waves and Up Up and Away by Kandy Kane Creations.

Layout by tanyiadeskis: Using Basic Waves and Pretty In Pink and Hope by Amanda Carlson.

Next are my Basic Scallops (Round) Take 2. This is a great set AND as a bonus, I included them as a custom shape set for photoshop, as well as the PNGs. :D I don't have any cute layouts to show for these yet, but if you make something and want to be published on my blog, please send them my way!

And on to Dollar Deals...well, I don't like to do full kits for a dollar often, but you are in luck. This exclusive Elemental Scraps kit and Alpha are only $1 TODAY ONLY. Enjoy!

Basic Waves and Round Scallops (Take 2) @ Gotta Pixel as well.

Tell us about the day you woke up and said “I want to be a digital scrapbook designer!”

I think I more evolved into a digital scrapbook designer than anything else. I started out making blinkies and forum signatures, which turned into making my own supplies and eventually selling them.

Inspiration is everywhere, but what are the things that catch your eye?

Typically it is something in my daughter’s closet or something she says that spurs my imagination. Though, I don’t nearly have enough time to complete all the projects in my head.

Out of all the products that you have created, which one is your favorite?

Gosh, that is tough. There are two or three that I really like. But, I would have to go with “Unforgettable” right now. It was/is one of the first kits I have been able to create with just what I wanted to do and is more me than any of my other kits.

2009-sm.jpgsplish-splash21.jpgsplish-splash12.jpg

Which one is most popular?

Probably “Unforgettable” as well.

Describe your style.

Spunky, Funky and Fun.

What is one thing about digital scrapbooking that you couldn’t live without? i.e. Undo, templates, color changing, fonts

The versatility and being able to create more than one page with the products you purchase as well as mixing and matching with other kits.

What colors do you find yourself drawn to with designs, i.e. bright, funky, soft, earthy etc…

I typically work with bright cheery colors, but find I really like to play with the soft earthy ones as well.

Tell us (or show us) what your work area looks like.

Typically a really messy “L” shaped desk. My daughter (2 yrs) is often sitting on it and makes a terrible mess with papers and the mounds of ribbon, buttons and other supplies I use. So, I work in the middle of a tornado.

What does your family think about you being a digital scrapbook designer?

Much more supportive than they/he used to be. It took a while for my husband to understand what it was I was doing and so addicted to. I still try to stay off of the computer when he is home and it is family time. So, I don’t get as much done most times as I would like to. But, family comes first.

What is one thing about yourself that others might not know.

I don’t like peas.

What other hobbies do you have?

I enjoy needlepoint crafts, gardening and baking.

Tell us about you, what you love, what you hate, your family, your friends.

I am a 31 yr old stay at home mom to a beautiful 2 yr old girl. My husband and I have been married for 6 years and live in central Oklahoma. Family is a big part of our lives and above all things I am a mother. I have a BA in Psychology and spent about 8 years in the corporate workforce before having my daughter. At that point I realized that there was nothing more I wanted to do than to be a full time mom. I lost my own mother when I was 8 years old and that obviously had a big impact on my life. Life is short, enjoy every minute. Feel free to live life with a smile. I may not get as many products out as the next designer or be as organized, but I know that the time has been well spent with my daughter.

* $1.00 Pixel’s and Gotta Grab It Products are not included in on the 30% sale.

January Color Play & Freebie

There is a ton of great stuff in this month's Color Play at Elemental Scraps! The color pallet is great with snowy pictures to your average photo. This month is a little different, because you will only be able to pick up the packs for $1.00 for a week, instead of the whole month. Here is what I have up for grabs.

And of course, what is a blog post without a freebie. I am such a pushover! I started working on a frame set and I just couldn't get them to work for me. I was trying too hard. So, here is the one that I did. It matches the color play pallet. Enjoy and come back later this week...I just might have another one for you.
